Based in Martinique and Guadeloupe, we operate across the whole Caribbean basin and beyond — from Trinidad to the Bahamas, from the Antilles to Central America.
Caribbean roots, regional reach
CARIGE operates from the French West Indies, where we have long known the terrain, the aviation rules and tropical conditions. That base lets us deploy our drones across the Caribbean and Central America, for one-off missions as well as recurring monitoring. We operate directly, always within each territory's flight authorisations. Founded by a PhD geographer-cartographer, former full-time Lecturer at the University of the West Indies (Trinidad, Jamaica), with twenty years of Caribbean fieldwork.
Data capture completed (drone and aerial photography): Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Guyana, Saint Martin, Marie-Galante, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominica, Panamá.
Twenty years of scientific fieldwork: geography research in Trinidad, Jamaica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, resulting in peer-reviewed publications and books. Intimate knowledge of the region, contacts in most countries.

Local presence, ready to deploy
Based locally in the French West Indies, we deploy fast: urgent requests by WhatsApp at +596 696 19 95 82, reply within two hours, quote the same day. We can charter a private aircraft to almost any destination in the region and mobilise nearly the same day. Coverage of up to 1,000 hectares per day (two Matrice RTK drones).
Our automated-detection models — corrosion, deformation, damage, vegetation — are developed in the region, from our own field missions.
